Comments: Nice to see an AJ site. Good Job or should I say Bravo Zulu for all you LIFER DOG PUKES. I was a Missile Tech on the gold crew from '84 to '87. Transferred to the Canopus to get some "time on the beach" What i really got was 14 hour days in the missile andling shop Yeehaaaah!!!!! I still remember the day the OLD GIRL pulled into Kingsbay all rusted, green and white from the LAST RUN on her way to the Combined Crew/Decom process. All the tender pukes were lined up on the rail LAUGHING!!!!I was never so roud!!!! The AJ was a real peach. If you ever spent time on the AJ you had the honor of riding a REAL BOAT! Ten day refits, 85 day patrols covering everyone else's target packages so they could make port calls. 8 out of every 10 guys had been to Mast at east once. That was a real Boat!! It was nice to see some of the goldies i served with on the guestlog.I'll sent you some photos if you would like.

Comments: Aboard the AJ Gold crew as a Sonar Tech from 4/83 'til 12/87. Had the best times on the AJ. From the enlisted club at Holy Loch to Rosie's Cantina in Groton and going down to Autec to shoot torpedos from test depth. What a blast! Hope to get to this reuni n if I can ever find some info on it.

Boat: USS Andrew Jackson
Comments: I served on board her from 84-89. Came on board MSSA and left MS2(SS). I was part of the decom crew in Charleston. Hated to leave her. I organized the first reunion we ever had for her. That was a great weekend. Does everyone still have thier chunk of HY8 . I saw some names in here that I had forgotten. ..but not the friendships. I understand Joe Fox past away several years ago. Can anyone confirm or deny it? Howie Lynch... how the hell are ya? Think of you often. Love to hear from some of you. Feel free to send email. As submariners for life, I think it appropriate to keep those men on board the sunken sub in our prayers. Regardless of which side of the fence they are on, they serve thier country as we did ours... in the most dangerous and unforgiving ways. Lets pray that they don't pay for it with thier life. Take care and God Bless. Thanks for a great web site. Kevin
