PACIFIC OCEAN (Jan. 12, 2018) The dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS Wally Schirra (T-AKE 8 ) comes alongside during a replenishment-at-sea with the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1). LAEM CHABANG, Thailand (Feb. 6, 2018) A military vehicle rolls off the ramp of Military Sealift Command's (MSC) large, medium-speed, roll-on/roll-off ship USNS Pililaau (T-AK 304) during an offload at the port here to deliver equipment in support of Cobra Gold 2018, Feb. 5. The USNS Pililaau is part of Maritime Prepositioning Ships Squadron THREE, which consists of a fleet of government-owned ships operated by MSC and is based in the Guam-Saipan area of the Western Pacific Ocean. Arriving today at Portsmouth naval base is USNS Robert E. Peary (T-AKE-5) Displacement: approx. 41,000 tons full load. she is a Lewis and Clark-class dry cargo ship in the United States Navy. She is the fourth Navy ship named for Arctic explorer, Rear Admiral Robert E. Peary.
